Rick "Bergy" Bergmans
My hometown has been Everett for the last 33 years. I spent my HS and Jr College years in Northern California. I finished up my college career at Weber State. I am currently retired. I have an encouraging wife with my coaching career and she loves to see me interact with the players and share my passion with the game of baseball. I have 2 sons that are both protecting the country as members of the USAF. I am very proud of the fine young men they have become.
My coaching career dates back to 1999. During the past 26 years, I have coached at Everett Little League as well as Maltby PONY. I have coached numerous years of Select ball as well, the last year was with Rival Baseball Club out of Lynnwood.
My coaching philosophy is playing time is earned at practice and verified during the game. The depth chart at each position is constantly changing. If you want more playing time-work harder than the person ahead of you in the depth chart.
My job as a manager of a baseball team is to bring out the best in each player and stoke their fire to love the game.
My interest outside of baseball is golf. Nope, I am not good-but love the game.
