Our Coaches are all highly experienced as either former college players/coaches, high school or select coaches, or have a level of pro baseball experience. Our goal as a staff is to develop players to a point that they can play at the college level, and be equipped to confidently pursue their baseball goals.

Levi Lacey, Texas Rangers MLB Scout
Levi Lacey started Laces Baseball Academy
in 2005. Levi is currently the Four Corners Scout for the Texas Rangers and is the former head coach for Everett Community College. An 8-time coach of the year, he guided the Everett Trojans to the 2013 NWAC Championship. Levi has coached over 30 MLB Draft Picks, 4 MLB players, and developed hundreds of collegiate level players. As a player at College of Idaho he won a National Championship and was an All-American.
Academy Hitting Instructor, 15u Head coach
Donny Treat
Donny's hometown is Marysville, WA. He graduated from Marysville-Pilchuck High School and went on to Everett Community College.
He was an All WESCO 1st base/outfielder 2004-2005, All NWAAC 1st Baseman 2006-2007. His coaching history includes Laces Baseball 2010-2016, Everett H.S. 2010-2012, Hitting/Infield Coach for both Crater H.S. & Grants Pass Nuggets 2018-2020. His hobbies are hanging out with his kids, playing golf, sports, camping, and spending time with friends and family.

Jeremy Agen
Jeremy's hometown is Mountlake Terrace, WA. He attended Mountake Terrace High School where he received the Most Inspirational coaches award. He has coached baseball at Mountlake Terrace High School for 10 years, as freshman head coach and varsity assistant coach. He also served 4yrs as president and head coach of the Marysville Pilots organization. Jeremy's hobbies include golfing and coaching baseball and football.

Kyle Swenson
Kyle's hometown is Arlington, WA. He graduated from Pendleton High School in Oregon, where he played Football, Basketball, and Golf. He majored in Business and played golf at Bellevue Community College. Kyle has 21 years of coaching Select Baseball & Softball in our community, 5 years of coaching Middle School/High school football, and 5 years of coaching Select Basketball. When he's not coaching or watching his two teenage daughters play high school sports, his hobbies include Hunting, Golfing, & playing men's softball.

Academy 14u Assistant Coach
Jared Judnich
Jared's hometown is Bellevue, WA. He graduated from Sammamish High School, and has been coaching youth sports since the 90's Jared started coaching for his little brothers and area kids, and went on to Coach young diamond sports for his older children. He then coached Lacrosse for over 5 years, and coached youth volleyball for several years. Jared's family is his wife Judie, and his kids; Sydney, Michael, and Olivia. His hobbies are baseball first but all other sports as well, movies, Star Wars, and Super Heroes.
Academy 10u Assistant Coach
Sean Bayha
Sean's hometown is Arlington, Wa. He attended University of Puget Sound, getting a Bachelor in Business and Economics. He played baseball for University of Puget Sound for 4 years.
Sean coached JV Baseball at Getchell High School from 2012-2015, and coached the Seattle Select 16U team in 2012. Sean also played in the Perfect Game National Tournament in 2004 with Northern Reign. Sean's hobbies include Bowhunting, being overly competitive with his kids and video and board games, and obsessive lawn maintenance.

Dan Slater
Dan's hometown is Olympia and he currently lives in Marysville. He played baseball at Shorewood HS and North Thurston HS and was All-league and All-State Honors (83'-84') as a CF/P. Dan played for WSU (85'-86') as both CF/P. After a knee injury he pitched for Edmonds CC (88'-89'). Dan has coached baseball for 24yrs, coaching Little League, Pony, Select, & High School. He is married to Sonya and has 3 sons, 4 step-daughters, & 3 grandkids. As a Biochemist/Molecular Biologist, Dan has been in cancer research for 29yrs. He loves baseball, traveling, golf, fishing, & spending time with family.
Academy 9u Head Coach
Jake Wheeler
Jake's hometown is Marysville, WA. He graduated from Marysville-Pilchuck High School where he was a 3yr Varsity Infielder. He then played for Edmonds Community College from 2003-04 (NWAC Champs in 2003). Jake went to Missouri Valley College where he was a K-12 Education Major from 2005-07. He played there in the Heart of America Conference as First Team Infielder, Conferance Homerun Leader, and Team Captain. In 2007 Jake began playing Independent Pro Ball as an Infielder for the Reno Silver Sox and Anderson Joes. Jake's has coached for Seattle Stars Select, Rijo Athletics, Skagit Sox, Venom Baseball, and as Edmonds CC's Infield and Hitting Coach 2011-2014, winninc NWAC Champs in 2014.

Mike Smathers
Michael was born and raised in Washington State and grew up in Marysville where he currently lives. He owns a small business locally and loves being involved in anything community! He grew up playing select soccer & basketball which is where his love for sports started. Mike played semi-pro basketball for 2 years. He has coached for Marysville little league for the past 8 years, served on the board for 5, coached select baseball throughout Snohomish County for 5 years, and also coaches 8u-13u select boys basketball for Marysville Pilchuck's feeder program. He has 2 kids, Michael Jr & Jordyn, and 2 bonus kiddos Meliah and Michael. He enjoys spending time with family, playing golf & basketball, and coaching kids!

Parker House
​Parker's hometown is Marysville, WA. He graduated from Marysville-Pilchuck High School where he was an All Wesco First Team Pitcher in 2015. He played for 4yrs with the Seattle Bombers and then was the Head Coach for their 13u team in 2018. He was also a pitching camp instructor for the Seattle Bombers. Parker graduated from Saint Martin's University with a Bachelor's Degree in Finance and a Master's Degree in Business Administration. His hobbies include weightlifting and reading.
Academy 12u Softball Head Coach
Rich Filori
Rich's hometown is Arlington, WA. He graduated from Marysville-Pilchuck HS, played some high school football and played Little League baseball as a catcher and an outfielder. Rich has been coaching youth sports in the community for ten years including tee ball, soccer, and Stilly Valley LL baseball and softball. Rich has been the Arlington Youth Football Association Head Coach for several years, and has also coached select softball. When not coaching, he enjoys golf and woodworking. His family includes his wife, Donna, his son Jacan (16), and his daugther Hazel (12).
Academy 12u Softball Assistant Head Coach
Katie Larsen
Born and raised in Seattle, Katie played softball and baseball from the age of 10 and is still going strong, currently playing women's slow pitch. Katie graduated from Ingraham High School in 2002, receiving MVP in basketball her sophomore year. She's been coaching about 9 years, starting with her daughters' T-ball (Maddy & Chloe) and then never stopped coaching. Maddy & Chloe both now play select fastpitch. Katie has coached T-ball, minors, majors, and is now coaching her second year of girls fastpitch softball, and her first year as a conditioning coach. When Katie and her family are not on the ball field, they enjoy camping and racing (love them muscle cars!). Katie has been married to Bryce for 20 years.
Academy 12u Softball Assistant Coach
Bethany Belisle
Bethany's grew up in Sedro Woolley and is now proud to call Arlington home. She went to Sedro Woolley High and then graduated from CWU and SPU. Bethany has enjoyed coaching Little League Softball (rookies, minors, and majors) since 2017. She first started playing Fastpitch Softball as an 8 year old in LIttle League (when Fastpitch was beginning to become popular). She enjoyed pitching, playing 2nd Base, and the occasional stint in Centerfield through high school.
Bethany and her husband Nic have been married for 17 years and have two kids, Iylee & Nate. Bethany's hobbies include running, lifting weights, and riding her Peloton. Aside from softball and football, as a family, they also enjoy snowmobiling, jet-skiing, shed hunting, fishing, camping, and spending time east of the mountains!
